Another tribute to Wong Kar Wai’s cinematic legacy is this “In the Mood For Love” poster that I made using Adobe Photoshop. As the movie is set in 1960s Hong Kong, I used a texture and blurry glow effect to give the poster a vintage feel. Additionally, I considered the hierarchy of text and opted for a romantic typeface for the title. I wanted the poster to be fairly minimalist and blocky in contrast to the complex love story depicted in the film. The poster consists of muted primary colours, with red as the main symbolic colour of love and passion.
