LV x Murakami "Panda" Collection Typography

This marks my first venture into illustrating typography, with the word "Murakami" as my subject, and I'm genuinely pleased with the outcome. I utilised my Wacom graphics tablet to create a bubble style font. The rest of the graphic was crafted on Adobe Illustrator.

The synergy between artists and brands, particularly when the boundaries between fine and commercial art blur, holds a special fascination for me. This dynamic is beautifully encapsulated in Louis Vuitton's enduring artist collaboration with Takashi Murakami, spanning an impressive 12 years of collections.

Notably, this collaboration concluded with the discontinuation of the Monogram Multicolor line in 2015. Among these collections, the "Panda" collection of 2004 stands out, featuring a vibrant multicoloured panda mascot. The integration of figurines or characters by artists intrigues me due to the amalgamation of childhood nostalgia and sophistication it embodies.
